The Challenge
For 160 years, Swisher’s passion for igniting what’s possible has cemented their legendary status as an iconic brand, rich with fearless ideas and achievements. They needed a microsite that honored that legacy of high quality and high times to introduce their newest product: The Swisher Blunt.
My Role
Acting as the bridge between the client, development team, designers, and stakeholders, I managed all aspects of the project from defining the project scope, timelines, and budgets to overseeing the development process while managing client communication, monitoring feedback and ensuring QA testing met technical specifications and UX standards for a successful delivery.
NUGS OF WISDOM
Like any good rotation, stuff gets a little elevated the second time around. After going through the site, you see the blunt get smoked, and the experience starts again. But this time “High Mode” kicks in, warping imagery via chromatic aberration as you scroll.
For this easter egg, we drew on classic Hollywood Up in Smoke-style visual design, paying homage to some of the best, most lovingly exaggerated moments in stoner cinema
It’s that sense of nostalgia we wanted to evoke. A bit of mischief in a more innocent time. We wanted people to be able to see, smell, hear, and play, all in a website. Budtenders can create their own highkus with an array of canniwords while jamming custom-made tunes on the music player tuned to KSWH, Dertroit’s destination for higher times and smoother hits.
